Queuing just to get assistance at the Institute of Distance Education should be a thing of the past as we are transitioning into the ‘new normal’ – social distancing. Students get email addresses and access to the Moodle LMS as soon as they complete orientation in first year. The old normal was, “I only use my gmail”, “I forgot the password because I hardly ever logged in”, “I was assisted to register so I forgot my PIN”… The new normal is that students have to remember their PINs, email and moodle passwords because online learning is upon us. We have to minimise contact as much as possible. Check the IDE website and your student emails regularly to stay updated.
For any queries or questions regarding registration, submitting your add and drop forms, blocked PIN, communicate through email and you will get a response. Send an email to B.B. Dlamini or to ide@uniswa.sz
If you still have challenges with using the Moodle LMS – request assistance from Dr. T.T. Rugube by sending an email and you will be assisted.
The Institute of Distance Education provides educational and training opportunities for individuals who are unable to undertake conventional and professional university programmes and courses.
